    Camp Pathfinder - 7th grade trip

    The seventh-grade trip to Camp Pathfinder for the 2026-2027 school year is scheduled from Monday, September 28th to Friday, October 2nd. Students will leave Allendale Columbia early on the morning of September 28th and return on the evening of Friday, October 2nd. At Camp Pathfinder, the students will participate in outdoor education activities supervised by the camp’s trained staff.
    Camp Pathfinder is remote and rustic, and is located on Pathfinder Island in Algonquin Park’s Source Lake, approximately forty minutes from Huntsville, Ontario. You can visit Camp Pathfinder’s website at www.camppathfinder.com to learn more about the camp and its facilities.

    School Picture Day

    Upstate Images will be taking our school pictures this fall on Tuesday, October 6. Order forms will be sent home, or you can order here online in advance. Online ordering will still be available for 48 hours after picture day. Orders placed after that will be shipped to your home for a small fee. Please note that paper order forms cannot be accepted after picture day.

    Senior Forum

    The Class Forum is an established Allendale Columbia School tradition introduced by the headmistress of the Columbia school, Mrs. Della Simpson, in 1946 to help students practice making arguments about current issues and to give the school community the opportunity to have a civil discussion about sensitive topics.

    College Affordability Meeting

    This is an ONLINE opportunity to learn about the college financial aid application and award process from an expert in the field: Sam Veeder, Associate Vice Provost of Enrollment and University Director of Financial Aid at the University of Rochester.
    We will review the federal methodology for determining financial aid and the various resources colleges use to build financial aid packages. All Allendale Columbia families are invited to attend, and friends and colleagues from other school communities are also welcome.
