    This special Chariot Learning SAT/ACT Extended Class is ideal for motivated students looking to learn the powerful math, reading, and English strategies and content needed for their best scores before Spring Break.     Practice SAT

    We will offer practice tests at AC to all Upper School students (Grades 9-11). Practice ACT: Saturday, February 4th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Practice SAT: Saturday, March 4th from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. After the test, students may attend test review sessions through Chariot Learning to go over the individual tests in detail.     Natural Resources Field Trip to Water Treatment Facility

    Students in the Natural Resources class will travel to the Frank E. Van Lare Water Treatment Plant to learn about what happens there, how the water is returned to the community, and, if possible, how they help with the issue of water scarcity.

    Book Talk with Justin Murphy

    Justin Murphy will be discussing his book, Your Children are Very Greatly in Danger. Justin Murphy is a reporter for the Democrat and Chronicle, covering education in the Rochester area with an emphasis on the Rochester City School District. He has worked at the Democrat and Chronicle since 2012 and before that was a reporter for The Citizen in Auburn, New York. He grew up in Penfield and attended the University of Chicago and the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. He lives with his wife and children in the Cobbs Hill neighborhood.

    Book Talk with Justin Murphy

    Our PACK parent organization is hosting a special event from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22nd featuring guest author, speaker, and Democrat and Chronicle education reporter, Justin Murphy. This event is open to all AC community members including Middle and Upper School students.

    Justin wrote the book, Your Children Are Very Greatly in Danger: School Segregation in Rochester, New York. He will be sharing the research and what he discovered through putting this book together, showing how discriminatory public policy and personal prejudice combined to create the racially segregated education system that exists in the Rochester area today. He’ll also talk about where we go next as a community.

    If you’re interested in reading Justin’s book prior to this event, you can purchase it here at a discounted rate of $25 and pick it up at AC. It will also be available for purchase at the event.

    Parent Teacher conferences for K-5th Grade

    K-5 Student Led Conferences

    All students in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade will lead you through their Spring Conference in a Student-led Conference format.
    These conferences are led by your child(ren) and allows them to take an active role in their own learning. We look forward to seeing you for this engaging experience.

    Astronomy vs. Astrology Field Trip to Planetarium
