After-School Learning for K-8

AC After 3 offers engaging after-school programs designed and delivered by AC faculty, allowing students to explore topics that reflect their teachers’ passions and expertise. With a wide range of offerings that change by season and student interests, these extracurricular classes encourage curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving.

Students registered for sessions beginning at 3:30 p.m. may gather in a supervised space starting at 3:00 p.m. for a light snack and playtime before the session begins.

Please note: Class sizes are limited, and enrollment is first-come, first-served. Instructors reserve the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met by the registration deadline.

AC After 3 – Block 2 Programs

November 2 - December 17

Mondays:

Artsy Cats 7.0 with Ms. King

3:30–4:30 p.m. / Grades: AC3–8

Note: No class on 11/23

Do you love cats and art? Then this is the class for you! Join Ms. King, Kindergarten Teacher, for a paws-itively delightful after-school adventure where curious cats meet the world’s most famous artists. No previous classes are required—new artists are welcome every time!

Imagine cats leaping into Van Gogh’s The Starry Night or prowling through Monet’s beautiful gardens! Could we create a masterpiece by Vincat Van Gogh or Clawed Monet? Absolutely!

Along the way, we’ll uncover fun facts about fabulous felines and famous artists, explore colorful works of art, and let our imaginations run wild. Then, it’s time to grab our brushes, unleash our inner artists, and create our own one-of-a-kind, cat-inspired works of art! It’s sure to be the cat’s meow!

Tuesdays:

Holiday Crafts with Ms. McEneany

3:30–4:30 p.m. | Grades 1-5

Looking for a fun and creative way to get excited for the holidays? Join Ms. McEneany (first grade teacher) for a one-hour holiday craft class.

We’ll spend the hour creating a variety of festive crafts — including winter trees, colorful pennants, snowflakes, adorable snowmen, and more! We’ll even add a little Thanksgiving-inspired creativity to celebrate the season of gratitude before winter arrives! Each child will have the chance to get creative, make something unique, and bring their creations home to enjoy.

This class celebrates the beauty of the season, from Thanksgiving warmth and autumn touches to snowy winter fun! The crafts will be winter-holiday inspired rather than centered around one specific holiday, making it a fun, creative, and welcoming experience for everyone!

Dungeons & Dragons with Mr. Youngblut

3:30–4:30 p.m. /Grades: 3–8

Welcome to Mr. Youngblut’s D&D 2026-27! We’ve been adventuring for three years now- with excitement, imagination, and cooperation at the center of the table. This year we will welcome our usual mix of new and returning players from grades 3 and up. We will begin our story at level 8, where our player-characters were at the end of last year. New players will be given special support to join right in and play along with the new story as it unfolds.

Greasy, Grimy, Slippery, Slimy with Miss. Crowe

3:15–4:15 p.m. /Grades Pre-K - 2

Note: No class on 12/8

If messy experiments, mysterious potions, and fizzy, foamy explorations sound like fun, then this is the class for you! Join Miss Crowe for a hands-on adventure filled with ooey, gooey, squishy, slippery, and slimy projects and activities. We will mix, pour, squish, fizz, foam, and explore our way through some wonderfully messy science-inspired fun! Come ready to get a little messy and have A LOT of fun!

Thursdays:

Dungeons and Dragons with Mr. Youngblut

3:30–4:30 p.m. | Grades 3-8

Choose Your Own Adventure with Ms. Stumpf

3:15–4:15 PM / Grades: K–5

Dates: November 5th–December 17th

Note: No class on 11/12 and 11/26

Ms. Stumpf’s program is inspired by the classic Choose Your Own Adventure books; step into a world and decide the story and activities. Choose Your Own Adventure is an experience with mystery, intrigue, and exploration. Students will enjoy activities from hikes on our trail, playground adventures, crafts like rock painting, creating galaxy and mindfulness bottles, and more. Craft adventures will be predetermined by Miss Stumpf but students will be able to suggest their ideas as well.

AC Middle School After-School Club with Mr. Yates

Monday–Friday, 3:15–5:30 p.m. / Grades 6-8

Cost: $600 per student

We’re excited to offer a new after-school option for Middle School students! The program, facilitated by Mr. Yates, runs Monday through Friday from 3:15–5:30 p.m. and includes homework/study hall time, recreation, and a snack.

HAC Athletics
The HAC athletics program provides a variety of team sport experiences, including 19 varsity, 10 JV, and 12 modified teams.
AC After 3 p.m.
AC After 3 p.m. provides after school learning opportunities to students from all area schools in grades K-8.
Rainbow Room
Rainbow Room and Rainbow Room Jr. are AC's after school and vacation day programs for students in AC3s through fifth grade.
