Book Talk with Justin Murphy

Allendale - Dining Commons - DC
Our PACK parent organization is hosting a special event from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22nd featuring guest author, speaker, and Democrat and Chronicle education reporter, Justin Murphy. This event is open to all AC community members including Middle and Upper School students.

Justin Murphy

Justin wrote the book, Your Children Are Very Greatly in Danger: School Segregation in Rochester, New York. He will be sharing the research and what he discovered through putting this book together, showing how discriminatory public policy and personal prejudice combined to create the racially segregated education system that exists in the Rochester area today. He’ll also talk about where we go next as a community.

If you’re interested in reading Justin’s book prior to this event, you can purchase it here at a discounted rate of $25 and pick it up at AC. It will also be available for purchase at the event.

We hope you consider joining us for what will certainly be a powerful presentation and discussion. Please RSVP here.
