Lower School Hopes and Dreams
Parents meet with grade level teachers to discuss their hopes and dreams (expectations) for their child's year ahead. K-5 Teachers are scheduling individual meeting times with parents.Syracuse University Field Trip
Our next college field trip is Syracuse University on Wednesday, September 2 from 12:15–5:30pm. This is open to all Upper School students in grades 9–12. Information sessions and campus tours are very helpful as students explore colleges and create their application lists.

Pre Primary Meet & Greet

This event is for all incoming 6th and 9th grade students and students new to AC in grades 6-12 Students will run through a program to help them prepare for the first day of school. This will include getting to know their classmates and teachers, walking their schedules, and getting their assigned locker. CPCSenior College Planning Night will kick off the college application season with important information for seniors and their families, including application timelines, deadlines, and strategies for a successful fall.
This year's keynote speaker is Tim Fields, Senior Associate Dean of Admission at Emory University. With nearly two decades of admission experience, he is widely recognized as a national leader in college admissions. Fields is also the co-author of The Black Family's Guide to College Admissions, a trusted resource for students and families navigating the college search.

Blue White Day
This will be a dress down day. Every AC student in grades K-12 will be assigned to the Blue Team or the White Team and should dress in their team color that day. (Team color assignments will be shared with families closer to Homecoming Weekend.) Students in grades K-12 will then enjoy a fun-filled field day, and our Little School, AC3s, and Pre-Kindergarten students will come out and cheer on both the blue and white teams! Join us for a fun-filled day with HAC soccer and volleyball games, bounce houses, pumpkin painting, raffles and delicious food trucks. Wristbands ($5) for unlimited activities and raffle tickets are available for purchase in advance or at the event.

Camp Pathfinder - 7th grade trip
The seventh-grade trip to Camp Pathfinder for the 2026-2027 school year is scheduled from Monday, September 28th to Friday, October 2nd. Students will leave Allendale Columbia early on the morning of September 28th and return on the evening of Friday, October 2nd. At Camp Pathfinder, the students will participate in outdoor education activities supervised by the camp’s trained staff.
Camp Pathfinder is remote and rustic, and is located on Pathfinder Island in Algonquin Park’s Source Lake, approximately forty minutes from Huntsville, Ontario. You can visit Camp Pathfinder’s website at www.camppathfinder.com to learn more about the camp and its facilities.Lunch Menu
