January 21st

Snowshoe Saturday with Mrs. King
1 - 3 p.m.
Cost: $40 (includes snowshoes)
Ages: K - Grade 5

Do you enjoy snowshoeing and being out in nature? Or have you always wanted to try snowshoeing but haven’t yet? Join educator Annie King on the nature trails at AC as you look for animal tracks and create your own! After trudging through the snowy pathways, warm up with our hot cocoa bar!

This event will take place snow or shine! Since Rochester weather can be unpredictable, we will plan to take a winter nature hike and enjoy some hot cocoa, even if there is no snow. Bring your own snowshoes or borrow some of ours!

April 15th

Kula Yoga
10 - 11 a.m.
Cost: $10/person
Ages: Pre-K - Grade 6 (and their adult)

This Weekend Workshop, led by AC faculty member Wendy Stumpf, provides an all inclusive workshop for a child and their adult.  Kula is a Sanskrit word that can be translated as “community,” “clan” or “tribe.” This word is sometimes used by the yoga community to denote the sense of inclusion and belonging that can be cultivated through yogis coming together to practice yoga. Together, we will practice mindfulness, meditation and yoga poses, including partner poses with the member of our kula we bring to our workshop. Attendees will need to bring their own yoga mat and water bottle.
