The conference aims to foster unity and camaraderie among Black students while equipping them for organizational and leadership roles beyond their individual schools.
An annual celebration when Senior swear t-shirts with their college/career of choice and we take a Class of 2025 photo. The event is followed by the Alumni Luncheon.

Kindergarteners are filling up their passports! Our next adventure is to the Frank Lloyd Wright House. Students have been learning about many artists in their second inquiry unit.
This concert is an opportunity for 3rd grade students to showcase their Recorder progress. They have been working on recorders since the beginning of the semester. Families are invited to attend as well as some of their younger peers. 3rd grade musicians will demonstrate how they transformed simple melodies on the recorder, to larger Orff arrangements using a variety of instruments. This event is a more informal interactive experience rather than the formal 4th and 5th grade concert that is happening later in May.
This year we will resume the tradition of our fifth grade class attending an overnight trip to Lake Placid. We are very excited to further explore the fifth grade Inquiry Unit on the Olympics by visiting the Olympic sites, having a chance to learn how to curl and visiting the Olympic Museum. This trip is the culminating experience for our students in Lower School and prepares them for their next step in Middle School.

Wednesday, May 21st is the Evening of the Arts and our 3rd-12th grade Spring Concert. This concert is a celebration of all music learning done in music class and band for the Spring Semester. The Lower School portion of the concert will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the CPC.
Performers should arrive between 5:30 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. to warm up. When Lower School Performers are finished, we encourage you to walk around the school to see the beautiful artwork created in art classes throughout the year. This performance will feature third grade recorder players, fourth grade band, fifth grade band, and music class performances for third-fifth graders. Fourth and fifth grade students can wear their AC Music Shirt with khaki or navy bottoms, and third grade students can wear any Allendale Columbia top (or uniform top) with khaki or navy bottoms.
This exhibition will feature artwork from advanced Upper School art students in Portfolio, Honors, and Honors 2. Their work will be on display at The Yards in the Rochester Public Market from 5/19 - 6/1
Strawberry Breakfast is a long-standing Allendale Columbia tradition and features a short program honoring the seniors with dances, songs, and special ceremonies. This is followed by refreshments (including strawberries!) in the Dining Commons. All family members are invited to attend this event and many students are involved in the program. This year’s Strawberry Breakfast will take place in the AC courtyard from 8:30 - 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23rd. There are no classes on this day, so there will be no buses, attendance, or classes and students should leave campus after the event.
At Allendale Columbia, we prepare students for the world they will inherit. In our trusting and responsive environment, students 18 months through grade 12 grow in confidence and develop scholastic independence.
