    Honk Jr.

    CPC
    AC 4th and 5th graders are so excited to perform in their very own musical this year! Adapted for young performers, and with a score by George Stiles and Anthony Drewe (Mary Poppins), Honk! JR. is a heartwarming celebration of being different that is a delight for all ages with its sparkling wit, unique charm and memorable score. Witty and hilarious, but also deeply moving, Honk! JR. will treat you to equal amounts of laughter and tears. Ugly looks quite a bit different from his darling duckling brothers and sisters. The other animals on the farm are quick to notice and point this out, despite his mother's protective flapping. Feeling rather foul about himself, the little fowl finds himself on an adventure of self-discovery, all the while unknowingly outwitting a very hungry Cat. Along the way, Ugly meets a whole flock of unique characters and finds out being different is not a bad thing to be. Tickets: acstheatre.ludus.com $5

    HAC Junior and Senior Prom

    Have your child wear their bathing suit into school under their clothes and apply sunscreen. Please make sure you also send in a towel, water shoes, and a bag for wet clothes.

    Career Life Panel

    We’re excited to welcome alumni in various stages of their careers to campus for the inaugural Career Life Panel on Tuesday, June 4th from 2:00-5:00 p.m! Alumni will share professional experiences, advice, and wisdom with current Upper School students from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. Following the panel, parents and caregivers are invited to join for a casual reception in the Library from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

    AC3s/Pre-K Picnic (last day of school for AC3's and Pre-K)

    AC3's and Pre-K families will gather near the preprimary playground to enjoy a picnic lunch. The school year concludes at 1:00 p.m. (following picnic). Rainbow Room Jr. will be open from 1:00 to 6:00 for the children that are regularly scheduled for afternoon care.

    Lower School Moving Up Ceremony

    The ceremony will begin in the CPC and at 9:15 move into classroom activities.

    Middle School Recognition Ceremony

    This event is a celebration for our Middle School students, faculty, and parents. This event highlights students who have achieved throughout the year at the highest level, as well as recognizes our 8th-grade students who are moving on to Upper School next year. We encourage all Middle School parents to attend this celebration of successes in the 2023-2024 school year.

    Upper School Honors Convocation

    The Upper School Recognition Ceremony occurs on June 7th from 11:00-12:30 in the Curtis Performing Center.  This event honors our students for their accomplishments from the past several years. Everyone is invited to attend, and we will be sending individual invitations to parents whose children have been chosen for an award. We would love for parents and siblings of our seniors to join us for this event. For those who are unable to attend in person, we hope you can view our ceremony virtually. You can view that at allendalecolumbia.org/live beginning at 11:00 a.m.

    Senior Dinner

    Seniors and their parents/guardians and immediate family are invited to join us for a senior class dinner at AC the evening of June 7. Additional information will be shared closer to the event.

    Commencement

    CPC
    Commencement will be held on Sunday, June 9th at 1:00 p.m. in the Curtis Performance Center. You may park in the back parking lot and follow the sidewalk to the courtyard to the Dining Commons entrance. Students should arrive between 11:30 and 11:45 for photos. For those who are unable to attend in person, we hope you can view our ceremony virtually. You can view that at allendalecolumbia.org/live beginning at 1:00 p.m.

    Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony: Diana Clarkson '99

    Join us for the 14th annual Distinguished Alumni Award Ceremony, celebrating Diana Clarkson '99, a distinguished attorney and esteemed member of the Allendale Columbia School community. Diana's dedication as a former Board of Trustees and Alumni Board member, including her tenure as President, highlights her commitment to AC. Her ongoing service on the Audit Committee, coaching of the Debate Team, participation as a Forum judge, and mentorship to students underscore her profound impact. Diana's career accolades, such as being named to the Rochester Business Journal’s “Forty Under 40” in 2019 and “Women of Excellence” in 2023, attest to her professional prowess. Currently a Partner at Akerman, specializing in transactional tax work with a focus on private equity, Diana's unwavering support, community engagement, and outstanding achievements truly embody the essence of Allendale Columbia School.
